[8u-dev] Request for approval for JDK-8031003 & JDK-8038754

Hi,

Please approve the backport of the following fixes to jdk8u-dev.
These 2 fixes are related in that the second one (8038754) is for 
correcting a minor issue in the fix of the first one (8031003).
