Hotspot in Mixed mode on ARM

Hello,

I've tried using the current version of jdk8u on an ARM Cortex-A9 with
ThumbEE enabled.
While OpenJDK 7 Hotspot uses the ThumbEE unit and goes into mixed mode,
OpenJDK 8 does not.

As far as I can see, the support for mixed mode on ARM has been removed in
the last year.
Can you tell me, why mixed mode is currently not supported on ARM? And is it
planned to integrate the mixed mode back into the ARM hotspot any time soon?
