[8u-dev] RFA: 8185723: Zero: segfaults on Power PC 32-bit

Hi,

Please approve this 8u backport of a Zero-only fix for PPC 32-bit. The
patch fixes JVM crashes. It's been in JDK 10+ for almost a year now and
we've been using this fix in Fedora ever since. The committed patch to
JDK 10 (back then) applies as is to JDK 8u.
