Hi,

I would like to request *approval* for this 8u backport:

The issue itself is Confidential, and so our usual approval process does not work. The issue cannot
be opened, because it contains confidential information, alas.

Patch applies cleanly to 8u, passes regular tier1 testing. It is required to fix fuzzer test failure
caught by JDK-8230238: that test would SEGV exactly where the warning told us. I would push
JDK-8230238 right after this fix.
