Hi,
jdk/jfr/event/io/TestInstrumentation was unstable now, we can backport JDK-8202142 to fix this problem.
Thanks,
Denghui Dong

Hi Mario,
Amazon JDK team tested your JFR patches and found 1 failure & 1 error in Jtreg JDK test suite. The build platform is RHEL5 x64, test platform is CentOS 6.
FAILED: jdk/jfr/event/io/TestInstrumentation.java (jtr snippet attached)
Error: jdk/jfr/event/sampling/TestNative.java
The second test requires a native test dependency. Test passed after manually compiling the library and setting up the test native path.
Cheers,
Ziyi

Hi all,
I just published a new set of patches to add on top of the latest jdk8u-dev:
http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~neugens/JDK8u-JFR.04/
This set includes all the patches currently in the incubator plus a
patch to enable the JFR by default (which isn't in the incubator yet,
pending discussion on the mailing list).
I really appreciate if I could get some feedback (even as additional
review eyes) and broader testing.
One notable change, this revision contains JDK-8230707, which makes
-XX:EnableTracing a no-op; the option is still recognised but it won't
print anymore information on the command line (since this is obviously
replaced by JFR).
Testing, especially for performance regression, is needed and very,
very welcomed :)
Cheers,
Mario
