RFO: 8068228: Test closed/java/awt/Mouse/MaximizedFrameTest/MaximizedFrameTest fails with GTKLookAndFeel

I’d like to backport https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8068228 from jdk9 to jdk8u as part of https://icedtea.classpath.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3077, and tag the issue appropriately so the backport can be tracked. The issue is closed, though the patch is open. Oracle folks, would it be possible to open the issue?
