    Alexey has contributed the backport of the SunJSSE engine that
    implements TLS 1.3 to the OpenJDK 8 Updates project [1]. This is a
    significant work because of its complexity, size and the impact on
    critical JDK code. Additionally, he has contributed a bug fix for
    8241960 in the main JDK project [2]. Making him a committer would aid
    this backporting work by avoiding the need for someone else to push his
    fixes.

    Votes are due by 13h05 UTC on the 3rd of December, 2020.

    Only current OpenJDK 8 Updates Committers (and above) [3] are eligible
    to vote on this nomination.
