Re-resolved hg-updater backport issues as dups of David's, added hg-updater comments to David's, resolved David's with openjdk8u292 as Affected and Fixed Versions. Apologies for the confusion.

Hmm, I think I know what happened. The wiki says
"14. Wait for an 8u maintainer to add jdk8u-fix-yes to the bug and set the appropriate Fix Version."
The maintainer added jdk8u-fix-yes, but looks to have not set Fix Version to 8u292. And I didn't notice.

I just pushed a set of 3 backports to jdk8u-dev/jdk on behalf of David Alvarez. Strangely, even though David created backport JBS issues according to the wiki, hg-updater created new backport issues rather than resolving the existing ones.
