A couple of people have M1 ports, but it's not in the official JDK 8u repo.
We perhaps should create an M1 source tree in the JDK 8u space for
people who want it, and consolidate everyone's downstream patches there.

What's your use case? I've sort-of taken the view that Rosetta is basically
good enough, and 8 is a pretty old JDK release. There was a reported bug
with signal handling in an older version of Rosetta, but it's fixed now.
So what's up? Is Rosetta really not good enough for 8u?
