supported platforms for JDK 9

Hi,


I was wondering recently what the supported platforms for JDK 9 on 
Solaris SPARC are.

It is clear that JDK 8 supports only Solaris 10u9+:

The build platform for JDK 9 is Solaris 11.1. Could you please tell me 
if you think there is any reason to support JDK 9 on a < Solaris 11?
