Naming the new tree/forest for benchmarks (JEP-230)

Hi,

With JEP-230 [1], being proposed to target I wanted to continue the
discussion around the benchmark repository. The previous discussion
concluded that creating a new top-level repository for benchmarks was
the best way to move forward [2]. This time around I would like to get
some feedback on naming the repository and microbenchmark directory.

The current example in the JEP is the following.

     <toplevel-jdk>/benchmark/microbenchmark

I have got some offline feedback that this is a bit too long and it
would be great to shorten it a bit.
This would be a reasonable short version, while still being clear about
the contents of the repository.

     <toplevel-jdk>/benchmark/micro

If no one objects I will start planning to use this as the naming for
the repository and the microbenchmark sub-directory.

Regards,
Staffan
