Support for multiple modules in one JAR-File

I am curious about your suggestion. Truthfully, I am not a fan of making
the JAR structure more complex; I think the 1:1 relationship between
physical artifact and module is easy and clean. However, I do wonder if
your suggestion can be met by the JMOD format? I think that format has as
one of its requirements the ability to bundle multiple resources together.
If that's the case, I see that as an easier avenue than adding complexity
to the JAR.
