Proposal: Allow illegal reflective access by default in JDK 9

Any update on this proposal? I would like to draw your attention to Markus' mail [1] on this. We don't have much (any) time left for Eclipse Oxygen release and this change would impact users who would like to run eclipse with Java 9.
