Can jmc-agent be used to manipulate JFR recording in a programmatically way instead of cmd via shell?

Hi there,

       Does jmc source code(https://github.com/JDKMissionControl/jmc) provide APIs to manipulate JFR recording in a programmatically way?

       I'm working on implementing an java agent to manipulate the JFR recording instead of cmd via shell. Then I have read the description of the wiki and the README file in source code. But I'm not sure whether jmc-agent can achieve my purpose. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
