Review request for JMC-6541: Using more compact notation for Flame View json data

Hi all,

Please review this fix for using a more compact notation for the json
used with the Flame View.
This CR also takes care of JMC-6530 (update to the latest flame view
library) and may even fix the Windows label rendering problem, though
I haven't had a chance to test that yet.
