Jason van Zyl, well-known for his work on Maven (among other things),
has asked to join this EG.

Ordinarily I'm reluctant to accept new EG members this late in the
game, after we've settled the requirements, but Jason has agreed to
accept the requirements as-is and understands that the bar for revising
them is relatively high.  I'm confident that he will bring valuable
perspectives to our discussions and help to ensure the overall success
of the JSR.
