The subject of nonlocal transfers is more appropriate for the mailing
list for the closures project.  Please follow up there.  The subject
here is the meaning of "this".

If you're going to compare to the behavior other languages, however,
you're better off comparing to their lambda expressions.  None of your
examples use lambda expressions.
