Lambda synced with JDK 8

Yesterday Maurizio and I completed the syncing the lambda source repo (http://hg.openjdk.java.net/lambda/lambda/) with the JDK 8 master repo (http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8/jdk8). The JDK 8 master repo is now the "parent" of the lambda workspace and future syncs will be from the JDK 8 repo.

Maurizio's integration work to merge the langtools sub-repo and all of the other repos was much more difficult than my my task of merging the jdk sub-repo. Thanks go to Maurizio for completing this much sooner than was expected!

Work will continue in the lambda repo on the javac compiler and on jdk libraries with the eventual goal of changes being proposed as commits to the Tools&Libraries integration repository. Comments are welcome at any time on work going into the lambda repository and explicit review requests will be made for any changes being proposed to the T&L repository.
