I'd like to drill into the "zip" request.  Was this mostly borne of "it 
seems like it would be good to have", or did the participants actually 
run into a use case explored in the hack day in which it was discovered 
that the libraries did not have a good way to express the problem?

By transpose, do you mean swapping the key/value in a MapStream?
