FYI: I just started a GitHub project called JavaZ.

this project tries to introduce functional patterns to the Java Community

the project is in a preliminary state

for the moment it only deals with

   - Option
   - Stream

expect frequent additions of new stuff and (hopefully less frequent)
changes of existing stuff
