Collectors update

I like collect very much.  Just not in this context, with such a variety of end-results.  

Your point here is reasonable.  You don't like aggregate because of something in the future plans for Java 9.  I don't have the future plans for Java 9 in front of me, so it seemed like a reasonable alternative at first.  I will do my best and find an alternative that everyone else here likes.
