As most people should know by now, there are two JEPs in progress which
respectively
propose to migrate from mercurial to git[1], and from openjdk hosting to
github[2].
The work is being done under the auspices of Project Skara [3]

The Skara team have offered to migrate Lanai to use Project Skara and
its tooling.
This transition can happen very quickly once things are set in motion.

If you are a Lanai committer, the main things you need to do are
1) familiarise yourself with git + github
2) familiarise yourself with Project Skara tooling [4]
3) Get yourself a github id (if you don't have one already) and *request
it be linked
to your openjdk id* [5]

We expect to use the skara preferred model of using pull requests which
you can then integrate yourself (still zero reviewers required) once it
passes other bot checks.

More on the transition later, but don't delay on these actions
as we'd like to transition around the beginning of March.
