How can I run JDK tests in the 32 bit mode?

Hello,

We need to test JDK macosx port in 32 bit mode (not just plugin).
Do you think this is a valid test?

How can i run regression tests in 32 bit mode?
I try to use jtreg option 'vmoption' and sets '-d32' value.
But there are tests that are run by the shell launcher and not all 
scripts uses the env variable VMOPTIONS when starting java.

Is there way to set 32 bit model for java via system options (or 
something like that)?
