Is there a 24 hr production release warning DL?

Dalibor,
Thanks for the information. I added myself, and added a mail filter for [7u communication]. Looking through the archives, there are some good messages, like the 7u10 schedule link, http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/jdk7u-dev/2012-August/004228.html

Seems a little too informal though. I found the release message for 7u6, http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/jdk7u-dev/2012-August/004059.html . Nothing for 7u9. The date on ire-7u9-macosx-x64.dmg is 2012-09-27 5:55PM & 2012-09-25 1:04PM for the file inside. I find no message announcing it. I find only 2 messages with 7u9 even in the title.

This means I would been equally unprepared if I was monitoring back then, maybe unless a was reading the full text of every message. To be fair, I did not even recognize I had a problem until one of the jars changed. Testing on my side also needs to improve.

Saw, the doc about the quarterly security release, but this just a guideline.

I thought, ok just monitor http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp a couple times a day with a production server, & send a sms-like Gmail if the page changes + server logging. What's one more when it already monitors over 1500 pages now? Problem is the meta date tag of the page says 2012-08-14, the same day as 7u6 message from above. The text it says Version 9, so the page looks wrong.

Should I submit a bug for the manual.jsp meta date tag? Do I need to RegEx the text of the page and fish out version numbers (fragile)?

Thanks,

Jeff
