You can create your own builds of OpenJDK from the source code in the repositories.

If you are planning to deploy a compatible Java implementation based on code derived from OpenJDK, I'd 
recommend that you take a look at the OCTLA, at http://openjdk.java.net/groups/conformance/JckAccess/index.html .
