Simple applet that may reproduce the key screen refresh problem

In my efforts to find a simple applet to demonstrate the screen refresh problem in a large applet with illustrative screenshots at http://www.segal.org/java/refresh3/, I’ve been going through the various test applets at http://www.segal.org/java/ and found one that may reproduce the key problem.  I’ve put it at http://www.segal.org/java/refresh4/, with full source code and a working applet.  

 

I will file this soon as an Oracle bug, but since the bugs disappear after one files them I wanted to see if others had comments so I could file a more complete report.

 

This not necessarily the same problem as the one I need fixed, so I will continue trying my existing test applets.  I’ve gone through 40% of them so far and found 3 bugs so it seems worth doing even if I’ve found a simple applet that has the same problem as our large applet.
