How do you find out if a bug has been fixed?

I heard back from our user who was most affected by the refresh problem and he continues to have the problem 80% of the time using JRE build 91 and http://www.segal.org/java/refresh4/. I tested the Mac I’ve been using, which is 5 years old, and with build 90 was able to get the behavior 10% of the time only if I stressed the system by keeping lots of other stuff running. I installed build 91 and got about the same.

It sounds like some timing issue, though our user's computer is newer.

His specs:

· mid 2012 MacBook Air

· 2 GHz Intel Core i7

· 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

· Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB

My specs:

· 2008 MacBook

· 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

· 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

· NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB

I don’t know whether his 80% failure rate or my < 10% failure rate is more typical of the installed base.

That's odd. I haven't seen the bug once despite much testing with build 90, with the huge app this is meant to model and both of the demo apps (see <http://www.segal.org/java/refresh4/> http://www.segal.org/java/refresh4/). Maybe something made it far less likely.

I'll see what I hear from our user who was much affected by the problem, and await news that this is officially fixed.

I don't think it's fixed, I still see it with b90. In a lot of cases I don't even see the buttons to be able to click them.
