I would like to nominate my Red Hat colleague Andrew Haley as At-Large
Member of the OpenJDK Governing Board.
As a major contributor to the OpenJDK project, Andrew is probably
well-known to most, if not all, OpenJDK project members. He currently
leads the AArch64 project and the JDK8 and JDK11 updates project as well
as being very involved in Project Loom. However, his interests and
expertise range widely. If you are a contributor then he may well have
reviewed some of your changes, whatever corner of OpenJDK you work in.
Andrew is also well-known and respected in the wider Java community, not
just for his expertise but, more importantly, for his willingness to
listen and to represent a broad range of interests. He has represented
the community as one of the two At-Large Members of the Governing Board
since the posts were created and has worked very hard to ensure that the
project continues to be run transparently and accountably. His tact and
diplomacy are underpinned by the scrupulousness and fairness that this
post demands.
regards,
Andrew Dinn
