From iris.clark at oracle.com Tue Mar 11 13:48:32 2025 From: iris.clark at oracle.com (Iris Clark) Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2025 13:48:32 +0000 Subject: 2025 OpenJDK Governing Board Election: Poll opens at 2025/3/11 14:00 UTC Message-ID: (This is not a call-for-votes. Please do not vote in reply to this message.) Voting in the 2025 OpenJDK Governing Board Election begins momentarily. If you're an OpenJDK Member [1] then you're eligible to vote in this election and you should receive voting instructions via e-mail shortly. If you don't receive them in the next twenty-four hours then please contact registrar at openjdk.org for assistance. There are three candidates for two seats this year [2], so per the OpenJDK Bylaws [3] we will select two winners via Single Transferable Vote (STV) [4], specifically the Meek algorithm [5]. STV is a form of ranked-choice voting, in which you order the candidates that you wish to support in order of preference. You need not rank every candidate. If you wish to support only two candidates, for example, then add just those two to the ballot and then put them in your desired order. Two technical notes: - The voting form requires that JavaScript be enabled in your browser. - Once you cast your vote you will not be able to revise it, so please be sure of your choices. Voting starts at 14:00 UTC on Tuesday, 11 March [6], and runs for two weeks, ending at 14:00 UTC on Tuesday, 25 March [7].
