That's not how it works.  The methods called by the adapter will still have to pass normal inlining checks before being inlined so at worst you just end up with a bunch of extra calls.  The big cliff with invokedynamic performance is the slowness of the all the adapter machinery and currently the only way to avoid that is to inline at least the argument swizzling part.
