Daniel Dougherty is currently working on getting the Mac OS X changes into HS23 (the runtime repository to be precise).  This should happen soon and after that presumably you can build a HS23 VM and drop it into a Mac OS X JDK build (at least I hope that will work).  The BSD port changes were already integrated by Tom:
