to be more exact: How line numbering has to be done to be used by the
mostly undocumented debugger... sorry if that sounds a bit sour. The
line number information is there, the marker/the table is there... right
line numbers in exceptions and general ability to stop at lines is
proof. But since there is no definitive information on what the step
debugging considers as where to stop, no one really can tell me why it
is not used.
