Hi Alan.,

Apologies for the delay. I ran the tests under java/nio/ch and the below 3 test cases are failing in AIX. The same tests pass in Linux

AsyncCloseAndInterrupt.java
Leaky.java

StressLoopback.java

There's not much to go on here. A starting point would be to see if the nio/channels tests are passing on this operating system. There are several tests that exercise async close. If there is OS issue then it might happen with the async close of Socket too.
