Thanks Dan, it's unfortunate to have to hard code this but I don't any 
other suggestions other than including fstypes.properties with a line 
"vfat: noposix". What you have is fine, I'd just like to add a comment 
line to it before pushing.

The test changes look fine. Also thanks for adding additional debugging 
output to checkBasicAttributes as that should be useful in the event 
that this test does fail.

I'll push these changes on your behalf today.
