The foregoing proposed patch webrev.05 to fix https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8065556 was in effect approved and then I posted one small result from JMH benchmark testing and the thread went cold.

It would be good at this point either to get a +1 confirmation from a JDK 9 Reviewer that this patch is OK or a suggestion as to what other testing or modifications might be in order.
