8202261: (fc) FileChannel.map and RandomAccessFile.setLength should not preallocate space

Any thoughts on a backport to Java 8? Java 10 would be nice to have, but
Java 11 is not far away and I don't expect many users to stick with Java 10
for long given the update policy. However, many users will stick to Java 8
for a long time and it would be good to restore the behaviour there.
