well, if you say that  the NIO.2 specification and implementation is done,
then this discussion is quite academic.

 

Otherwise, I'ld appreciate if at least the Javadoc for Path.getFileName()
could get updated according to what you have explained, because the
semantics of what users can do with the returned Path object are currently
undefined.
