[REVIEW-REQUEST] RT-21709 Consider making available the CSS Styleable* classes as public API

Just a side thing to consider in this context (and in FX CSS in general),
the following web trends are growing making CSS more programmer-friendly:

This is more a general high-level comment but I think some of it overlaps
with what you are looking at now.

For me, it makes sense to keep up with web-CSS trends in order to have
appeal to designers from web-land, which as I understand it was the main
motivation for using CSS as the styling language in FX.
