Releaseing opensourced sources with SDK?

FWIW the JDK's src.zip has never had any connection to being "open sourced".
Its was delivered starting back in 1995 and the JDK only became open 
source in 2007.
Moreover its contents were limited and intended to be more of a help to 
developers using
the public API classes to see how the classes were implemented at a time 
when
the early docs were probably somewhat lacking in detail.
