This is for the building JavaFX itself (vs. the ant stuff we are using now). At least, that is what I was talking about but now that I re-read I'm not as certain what Mario meant.

I think this is orthogonal. I think the Gradle support Danno was working on is more related to what you are doing with Maven, right?
