Re: Updated JDK8 / FX8 build for the Pi?

My immediate concern with lambdas is kind of selfish.  As far as I know none of the alternative VMs (dalvik, avian, ikvm, etc) support the invoke dynamic bytecode.  


All of the read between the lines talk I’ve observed from Oracle on this list is that a free and generally available Oracle JVM will not be provided for iOS or android.  Hence using lambdas would provide a significant barrier to a community OpenJFX port.
