The GM965 is a very old and unsupported graphics card. If you would like 
to file a JIRA [1] and include the output of:

    java -Dprism.verbose=true ...

we'll take a look at blacklisting the driver. As a workaround you might try:

    java -Dprism.order=sw ...

which is the SW fallback that we would automatically do if the card was 
blacklisted.
