That fact that companies are willing to invest in those editors is great; I've coded for iOS and Android, but quickly stopped using the designers. Interesting is that there is no commonly used UI designer for Swing. There were some attempts, I believe NetBeans still has one, but I know of no project that uses them (that may be my shortcoming). For me they quickly get in the way.

The only exception being Flash, because there was no way around the UI editor. And I hated flash for it ;-)
