font color fringes on macOS, not a priority?

Just curious...while reading up on the below Metal API / MacOS OpenGL depreciation, I notice reference to coming changes with OpenGL relating to transition to “Vulkan” which if I understand correctly may be a similar change in lower level graphics API (I think similar to Metal). Will updated to JFX with something similar eventually also be needed there as well?
