Yes, we all have work to do. I have been thinking about what to reply,
if anything... You know, GraalVM is starting to find that my work is
useful and I do feel that that project has a potentially brighter future
than OpenJDK:

To me, OpenJDK seems stuck in trying to cater to all existing users,
instead of trying to propose them better solutions that they might not
have even thought about. GraalVM doesn't seem constrained by this.
For what it's worth, I'll keep an eye on this mailing list, but given
that I only seem to be offending people around here, I don't see the
point into trying to contribute any further either.
