We can almost certainly host the master portion of such a system, so long
as it doesn't need a ton of server-side resources.
I don't have direct experience with either Hudson or Buildbot. Does
anyone else?

Yes, I think so -- our meager capital budget is pretty much absorbed just
keeping the basic openjdk.java.net services up and running, so I don't
think Sun can fund the construction of a big build farm any time soon.
