porting OpenJDK

I am intending to create a port of OpenJDK 6 to run on a playstation 2 (see
PS2SDK and MIPS assembly).
I downloaded the package openjdk-6-src-B18-4 16_feb_2010.tar and watched
directories, in which one should I work?

Should I only carry what is necessary to run the packages java.lang .*, and
java.io. * jala.util .*
