JDK 8 and PowerPC schedule

Hi Tiago,
unfortunately we won't make it with our port into the JDK8 GA release.
The current plan is to have the port in the first JDK8 non-security
update release (probably 8u20) which is planned to be release about 6
month after the GA release.
This is all for Java 8. For Java 7 there are no plans to integrate our
port into the main 7u codeline. Nevertheless we are trying to keep the
code in our http://hg.openjdk.java.net/ppc-aix-port/jdk7u repository
up to date (currently it should be at the level of 7u40).
And of course nobody will prevent you from building your own
distribution from http://hg.openjdk.java.net/ppc-aix-port/jdk7u and/or
http://hg.openjdk.java.net/ppc-aix-port/jdk8 :)
Regards,
Volker
