What about the configure script - is it necessary to update it as well?
Do you have a running autoconf on AIX?
How difficult is it to get one - do you need to compile it yourself or
is there a standard packege available (e.g. from AIX Toolbox for Linux
Applications - http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/software/aix/linux/toolbox/alpha.html).
If yes, which version are you using 2.13 or 2.63.
