Thank you Khem - you're right.

Sonja, you downloaded the wrong version. Of course you need the Linux
and not the AIX version. It's available from:

http://openjdkpower.osuosl.org/OpenJDK/download/bootstrap/openjdk1.7.0-ppc-aix-port-linux-ppc64-b03.tar.bz2
